The site allows anyone to make a special webpage that focuses on
any subject or program that you wish or are involved with. You don't
even need much experience to create a really powerful "lens" on
Squidoo.

Hi Clive;
Here is one of my latest lens.

It is leading Tiffany Dow's 30 Day Squidoo Challenge and was ranked #16 overall for Squidoo. I broke the top ten last week but couldn't hold my position with all the new lens being added.
One I got into the top 100, the traffic really went up. I now have 50 - 70 visitors a day to that lens.
We are over halfway through the challenge, and Tiffany is in second place today after completely reworking her lens last night. She is ranked #24, before her changes, she was at #37. It was quite a jump, so I replaced some of my srticles today to see if that was the secret and see if I can get back up in the top 10.
She is going to start having a monthy challenge, so fellow squidooers might want to check it out. Her blog is at http://www.socialmarketing101.com/blog and there is a link to our new forum for the Squidoo Challenge is there as well.

Ive done Squidoo and a few more and IMHO think the writing may alrady be on the wall for membership sites - theres likely to be a culling. tThere are already too many generalized ones - the highly specialized niches will thrive and the bigguns will gobble up the tiddlers.

There are some great lenses here and well worth a look. Really interesting info and details.
Also as Kevin has pointed out just by having a great lens you can get many visitors to yours every day. Great way to market a website or product if you have one.
There must be many more people with some great Squidoo Lenses, why not post yours so we can take a look.

I have been to see your lense and I am impressed with your story. It seems that many a successful individuals have similar stories to tell. You also have managed to get on with it and that is admirable. Since I am newbie i suppose I will have to visit and study your lense a few times before I quite suss it out how it all works.
